Congratulations to Jordan Puskas-Sullivan and Hannah Knowles (alternate) for being selected as the 2012 John Carroll High School Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Ambassadors.
Jordan will represent John Carroll High School at the South Florida Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership seminar held at Lynn University from May 16-19.
The mission of HOBY is to provide lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their highest potential and make a positive difference within global society through understanding and action based on effective and compassionate leadership.
The HOBY program strives to follow the HOBY motto of teaching students, "how to think, not what to think."
During the weekend, Jordon will attend panels on leadership and take part in team building along with volunteer and leadership activities. She will also complete volunteer work and can look forward to making lasting bonds with other HOBY participants based on shared values, goals and experiences. She can also plan to be active in the HOBY alumni club.
John Carroll High School is proud of Jordan and Hannah's accomplishments.
The school proudly serves students, both Catholic and non-Catholic, from Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee counties.
