Riverside National Bank awarded Elaine Lewis with Riverside's prestigious Hometown Hero Award.
Mrs. Lewis was recognized for her hard work and many years of involvement within her Brevard County community and her devotion to help children. Mrs. Lewis volunteers at the Candlelighters Thrift shop. She helps to fulfill the wish lists of children during the holiday season by raising money and shopping for them. Mrs. Lewis volunteers at the Holmes Regional Medical Center emergency room and each year she helps with the Holy Name of Jesus Fair.
Before moving to Florida, Mrs. Lewis was an elementary school teacher. She gave up her career upon moving to Florida, but didn't give up her time working with the kids.
"Mrs. Lewis is a delightful person with a lot to give. We are honored to present her with this special award," said Janice Bowman, Riverside National Bank's Indialantic office manager.
