ST. LUCIE COUNTY - Indian River Judo won a first-place team trophy in the Dragon's Challenge Regional Judo tournament held at Atlantic High School in Delray Beach in August.

The first-place trophy is presented to the judo club team with the most points at the end of the tournament.

Points are awarded to competitors for finishing in first-, second- or third- places. Ten Indian River Judo students, ranging in age from 6 to 56, competed and finished with four gold, four silver and two bronze medals.

Indian River Judo classes for children and adults are held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 p.m. at the Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce.

Indian River Judo is accredited through USA Judo and Florida Judo.
