Thank you for your kindness
It was a busy Monday morning at around 9:45 a.m., my wife and I were driving on North Babcock, when our car stalled in front of Palm Bay High School.
We put our flasher on and got out of the car. We stood on the median and called 911 for assistance. Cars passed one by one and others drivers drove on the median.
My wife was getting late for her doctor's appointment and we were there stuck in the traffic. Before the police officer came, a very kind lady stopped behind our stalled car and asked what she can do to help. We told her of my wife's doctor appointment and she said she could drive her over there. She told us her name was Cathy Reagan, also on her way to visit a patient at South Sea Pines.
Ms. Cathy Reagan, wherever you are, thank you very much. You are one of those angels among us. We were so touched of your gesture of kindness. We hoped that you continue to care and touched other people's lives. Also, to Melbourne Police officer, Lisa Smoak, thanks also for your assistance and professionalism you showed us. We'll keep you both in our prayers. Thanks again.
The Communist Revolution lives
Comrades,
I would like to thank all those who have made the Communist Revolution in the United States a reality. As a party member since 1960, I am thrilled that we have met nearly all of our 45 strategic goals (see "The Naked Communist" by W. Cleon Skousen, The Ensign Publishing Co., 1961, pages 259-262). We now have achieved one party rule (goal No. 15) and celebrate our diversity with our Socialists, Marxist, Maoists and Stalinists comrades in Congress.
Our leader, President Obama, has been the finest student of Saul Alinksy, the Communist community organizer (see Alinsky's book, "Rules for Radicals").
We control the education system through the college level. We control the media. We control your labor through the tax code. We control the insurance industry through AIG, the financial industry through CITI Bank, Wall Street and through Goldman Sachs and the automobile industry through GM and Chrysler. Soon, we will control the energy industry through cap and trade.
We will also physically control the masses through health care reform.
In addition, America will give up its sovereignty to the U.N. through climate change treaties.
The Tea Party members have been a nuisance, but they have been effectively marginalized by the media. We will silence them by controlling the internet through "net neutrality." We also have Mark Lloyd at the FCC, working to silence Fox News and talk radio in the same manner as our comrade Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela.
I know some are laughing and saying that all of this is silly. I want to thank you most of all. Without your apathy and denial of what is before your eyes, this would not have been possible.
Vaccination woes
Since the president is so worried about health care for all Americans, wouldn't he set a good example for us, and stop smoking?
He wants to have all of our children vaccinated with the new vaccine for the swine flu. Many parents are unwilling to do this out of fear for their children's safety.
I suggest he have his two little girls vaccinated first. If you're going to talk the talk, you have to walk the walk.
A response to 'Letters'
I just read the letters from Jeff C. and Barbara B. in the Friday, Oct. 23 issue. When god passed out brains they thought he said trains, and they missed theirs. CNN saying things about Rush Limbaugh that they can't back up? Well, I guess that is better than Rush, who knows the truth but just flat out tells lies.
Does Afghanistan want to save itself?
Why not have Afghanistan invoke a draft? I see a lot of able-bodied people standing around that could be trained in a short time, like we did in World War II. We were given six weeks of training and you were given a rifle and sent to Europe or the South Seas.
There is no reason that these people should not be taking the initiative to pick up a weapon and fight for their country. It just seems like they want us to fight and die for their country, but their not willing to stand up and join the fight. I think that somebody needs to question us sending more troops to a heroin haven, the biggest producers of heroin in the world. Let those people fight and die, if they really truly believe they want independence.
More response on conservatives vs. liberals
I see you've put another letter called conservative vs. liberal.
Here we go again espousing more hate. I just don't understand why everyone cannot understand that divided we fall, whichever party you are. This is just a hate latter. I don't understand where you are coming from. I profess that you are a conservative because everything negative you say is against Democrats.
I would like to say if you want a one-party system go to Cuba, go to Russia. This is a two-party system and we have freedom of speech. We're allowed to speak what we want speak, as you are allowed to speak what you want, but that's just a hateful letter. I'm not sure what you want to accomplish through this letter. To show that you're hateful? That you have no love in your heart? That you are a negative person and are espousing negativity?
Remember if you espouse negativity, that is what you get back. You get back from the universe what you get out. You have a great day and I am sorry you are so disillusioned with the other party in the United States of America. And I would have to say from your letter that you don't believe in freedom of speech and therefore you are correct and no one else is correct. Like I said, maybe you need to go to a one-party country where you can not have any freedom of speech and if you wrote a letter like this you would go to jail. Have a wonderful day in your little world.
NASA spending speculations
First, people are right about the rants being too long. It's not a master's thesis, it's a quick opinion for people to think about.
Second, right on the front page of Florida Today it states that there was $360 million spent too much for the Ares IX trial rocket. Wouldn't it be better spent to maybe find a cure for heart disease or cancer? We might yield a little bit more out of that than finding out whether there is a new galaxy we will never be able to get to or water on the moon.
Dress code violations
This is in regard to the dress code at the local high schools.
In order to adequately enforce the dress code, adults must look at female girls in certain places to determine strap width and appropriate undergarments and appropriate clothing worn below the waist.
If adult males are checking and speaking to female teenagers about these matters, they will have to be looking at places where and discussing matters which, in the workplace, would be considered sexual harassment.
I'm surprised that they have the money and the time to spend so much of their efforts at the high schools determining dress code violations when they seem to be short on cash for teachers and such and administrators are still driving around on golf carts, and their sole purpose at that time is to check for dress code and usually it is just girls.
I am completely disturbed that males are discussing these matters with female teenagers. I called the customer service line and was told, "Well, they're teachers."
Well, they are teachers, but they are men.
And men should not be discussing my daughter's personal wardrobe with her. Particularly, since most of the dress codes revolves around her chest and her buttocks.
