From Sept. 1-14, boxes will be placed around the community to help collect supplies for the animals at Creature Safe Place, a nonprofit, wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary and exotic animal refuge.

Once a year, Creature Safe Places asks for donations of cleaning supplies, bleach, vinegar, laundry and dish soap, paper towels, cloth towels, garden and building tools, all types of animal food (especially canned dog and cat food), toys and habitat/cage enrichment, Pedialyte (regular flavor), baby wipes, cash and gift cards from local merchants.

Collection boxes can be found at several convenient locations, including: Kelly's Animal Hospital, Ox-Bow Eco Center, Thomas Feed and Hay, Big Apple Pizza Fort Pierce, Kindness Animal Hospital, Archie's Seabreeze, Tri-County Animal Hospital, Melanie's Tanglemasters or Always Perfect Tattoo on Midway Road and The Southern Saloon.

Since 1993, Creature Safe Place has been taking care of injured, abused, abandoned and neglected wildlife on the Treasure Coast. The sanctuary and rehab center also rescues and provides foster care for exotic animals.
