Daytona Playhouse kicks off the start of their 2012-13 season in a grand way with a sidesplitting comedy and a champagne reception opening night Sept. 7.
It is a very special evening for the Playhouse as Daytona Beach Mayor Glenn Ritchey and County Councilman Joshua Wagner do the official ribbon cutting to honor the renovation of the Playhouse -- new seats, new carpet, fresh coat of paint and new lights all make the playhouse sparkle.
Topping the night off is the opening of 'Let's Murder Marsha' by Monk Ferris and directed by Bruce Heighley.
The play will continue Sept 8, 13, 14, 15 at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. on Sept. 9 and 16.
It's Marsha's birthday and her husband has planned a big surprise. Surprise her he does, but not in the way intended. An evening of mayhem, plotting and madcap antics.
Tickets are $16, $14 for seniors 55+, $5 for 18 and younger. Season tickets for six shows: $83 adults and $77 for seniors 55 and.
Daytona Playhouse is located at 100 Jessamine Blvd. off Halifax Ave., Daytona Beach
