MARTIN COUNTY - The Martin County Health Department, in partnership with Indiantown Community Outreach, will present a symposium on HIV/AIDS, on Sept. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.

The seminar will cover information related to the latest research on the virus as well as case management and community support services. Free HIV rapid testing will also be available

"The general public as well as health-care providers are invited to attend this seminar." said NiShay Clark, health services representative for the Martin County Health Department.

"This is an excellent opportunity for people to learn the facts then share the information and resources. Through this combined effort, we can help stop the spread of this virus."

The symposium is free. Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided.
