INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - Sheriff Deryl Loar has taken on the role of 2013 March for Babies chairman to raise awareness and important funding for stronger, healthier babies.

"The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is a proud supporter of the March of Dimes and its March for Babies campaign. We care about the health of babies and their families and hope others will join us in supporting this important cause," said Sheriff Loar.

"Be sure to join us on March 2, 2013 at Riverside Park to walk together for stronger, healthier babies."

This year, the March for Babies campaign will focus on recruiting new teams and sponsors to participate in making a difference for moms and babies.

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.
