STUART - From bridal fashions to resort chic, two area fashion boutiques are among several that will be featured at the Salvation Army's "Wings of Hope" benefit luncheon and fashion show, scheduled for Nov. 12 at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart.
Tamera's Forever Bridal and Evelyn & Arthur's are the two latest fashion boutiques to showcase their clothing at the luncheon.
Tamera's Forever Bridal, located in Harbour Bay Plaza in Sewall's Point, features exquisite gowns and dresses for the entire family, including mother and grandmother of the bride. They specialize in the complete wedding experience, including custom bridal gowns and jewelry designs, tuxedos, shoes, purses and more.
Evelyn & Arthur, also located in Harbour Bay Plaza, features women's clothing that is "modern, but not edgy; stylish but not faddish."
Its unique mix of resort and casual clothing has proven to be versatile and is intended to take the discerning woman from morning to evening, from the country club to the theater, and from luncheons to dinners to create the best mix of comfort and wear-ability.
"We are so fortunate that two such diverse and unique fashion boutiques have agreed to work with us," said Terri Cremins, fashion show coordinator for the luncheon and a member of the Salvation Army of Martin County's Women's Auxiliary.
"Tamera's is planning to specifically showcase mother and grandmother of the bride dresses, along with cocktail fashions," she said. "And while many of us are familiar with the stylish clothing of Evelyn & Arthur, this show offers an opportunity to see some of the new fall trends."
Presented by the Salvation Army of Martin County's Women's Auxiliary, the Wings of Hope luncheon and fashion show raises funds for local Salvation Army programs and projects, and in the past, has helped to fund the new Compassion House women's and children shelter, to send local youth to summer camp and to purchase much-needed passenger vans.
Chairwoman of the luncheon is Judith Bunnell. Committee members include: Pat Northcutt, Beth Mistarz, Lucy Kiggins, Terri Cremins, Esther Williams and Andrea Hoover, corps officer and Salvation Army representative. President of the Auxiliary is Ruth Burns Withee.
The annual event begins at 10:30 a.m. for a vendor fashion and beauty expo with the luncheon and fashion show beginning at 11:30 a.m.
