The 2012 Daytona Blues Festival, presented by Brighthouse Networks, promises to deliver three days of the best in blues music from national artists playing in a great music venue.
Festivalgoers also will be treated to some of the best up-and-coming blues artists as well as classic blues musicians from a variety of genres.
The lineup includes Ana Popovic, Victor Wainwright And The Wild Roots, Otis Taylor, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats, Trampled Under Foot, Anthony Gomes, Honey Island Swamp Band, Lightning Malcom, Peter Karp and Sue Foley, Moreland and Arbuckle, Gina Sicilia, Devon Allman's Honeytribe, Selwyn Birchwood, Terry Hanck, Mikey Jr. and the Stone Cold Blues and Samuel James.
The main sponsor of this year's Festival is Brighthouse Networks, and the after parties are sponsored by and at Buffalo Wild Wings. The after parties take place each night after the festival closes.
Proceeds from the event will assist two deserving charities again this year. The Halifax Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit supports women's and children's health issues. This NICU provides unique services for newborns that require intensive care due to prematurity or illnesses diagnosed around the time of delivery. Camp Boggy Creek is one of 12 "Hole in the Wall" camps that helps children with life threatening or chronic illnesses enjoy a real camp experience with medical support on site. Camp Boggy Creek is free, since it is supported by contributions and donations from individuals, corporations and foundations - and the Daytona Blues Festival.
Tickets are for sale online or at Miss Priss, 150 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, and Atlantic Sounds, 138 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.
