INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - A water exercise class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5 p.m. beginning Oct. 18 and running through Dec. 13. Class will be held in Wabasso. Cost is $55.
An art workshop will explore art and techniques using acrylic painting, creative surfaces and various medium combinations to develop the creative spirit. Students will attend class from 1-5 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning on Oct. 30 and running through Dec. 11. Cost is $82. Students are responsible for purchasing art materials.
A sign language class will take place on Saturdays. Students will attend class from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Oct. 13, 20 and 27. Cost is $61.
A 215-hour evening certified nursing assistant course will meet from 3:30- 9:30 p.m. on Monday to Thursday. Classes will begin on Oct. 15 and run through Dec. 20 and be held at the Gifford Medical Academy site. Cost of the course is $894.
Those whose native language is one other than English, and who are struggling to learn the language, can take an ESOL program at Adult Education from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
The class is also held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
In addition, citizenship classes are held from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. at the Freshmen Learning Center. Cost is $30 per term ($90 per year).
