PALM BAY - Those looking to not get "tricked" this Halloween should look no further than the one-stop candy shop of Fuzziwig's Candy Factory in Palm Bay.

Located in the Winn Dixie shopping complex, this unique candy shop is set up as a cafe, where customers can enjoy their sweet treats, as well as free Wi-Fi, while lounging at a table of their choosing.

"We have a lot of things you can't really get anywhere else," said Dean Kriegsman, co-owner of the Palm Bay franchise, alongside his father, Harvy. "We have items like Saltwater Taffy that are very popular. Also, the café environment allows for a relaxing, casual and fun atmosphere."

Mr. Kriegsman started the business with his father in 2010 after he wanted to leave the family pool business. The family, who has been in the retail business for 28 years, originally opened the candy shop inside the Melbourne Square Mall. But, three months ago, Mr. Kriegsman brought his candy shop to the location it is today.

"We thought this was the best place outside of a mall it could be," he said. "Usually, a Fuzziwig's Candy Factory is located in a mall. We may be the only store that isn't."

Some of the variety of sweet treats the Fuziwig's Candy Factory has to offer includes hand-dipped chocolate and other treats, homemade fudge, 18 different colors of M&Ms, 24 different flavors of Jelly Belly's, hand-dipped ice cream, smoothies and milk shakes.

Mr. Kriegsman also said his candy shop caters weddings, showers and other festive occasions.

"I make fudge for weddings," he said. "I can also make chocolate-covered strawberries or cherries. All someone has to do is put in an order for them, and I will make it."

Other candies include a variety of gummies, chocolates and endless varieties of candies, such as Skittles, Red Hots and Jawbreakers.

Mr. Kriegsman also offers a variety of sugar-free candies for those who cannot eat sugar.

Also, for those feeling festive during the Halloween season, customers can take advantage of caramel apples, which the shop offers all year-round.

Mr. Kriegsman said the combination of milkshakes and free Wi-Fi make for a unique candy shop experience.

"People will bring their laptops and sit down with a milkshake," he said. "I set it up like a café, so kids and families could sit down with ice cream and candy and just enjoy themselves."

Fuzziwig's Candy Factory is located at 160 Malabar Road, Unit 110, in Palm Bay.
