A record 750 volunteers gathered at the Florida Air Academy gym in Melbourne Saturday, Oct. 6 to transform almost 15,000 pounds of raw material, including rice, pasta, soy protein, cheese, beans and vitamins, into more than 100,000 packaged meals that were donated to the Second Harvest food bank.
