John Carroll High School was proud to be nominated for and received an award from the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce at its 28th annual Business and Industry Awards in Education.
The school was honored with a certificate reading, "With a rich history in honoring the best of St. Lucie County businesses, it is with great honor that we recognize your contributions to the community and the overall quality of life of St. Lucie County residents."
Additionally, the school was one of three educational entities to receive an award. The award presented to JCHS was the Business and Industry Appreciation award. The chamber recognized businesses in 15 categories for their overall impact on the economic well-being and quality of life for county residents.
According to the chamber, the judging criteria included: community involvement, economic impact, chamber participation and environmental responsibility.
Among the nominees were Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at FAU (category winner), Indian River State College (fellow appreciation award recipient), Keiser University and Barry University.
Congratulations to the entire John Carroll High School family whose hard work contributed to this recognition.
