Q. What do you see as the biggest issue for the office you are seeking?
A. The economy is the issue that has the most impact on everyone. It affects the city's budget, it affects the quality of life for citizens and it affects our education programs. I have the business experience and will provide the leadership needed to encourage local business expansion and use our best efforts to attract new businesses, thereby increasing our tax base.
Q. What are your qualifications for the office you are seeking?
A. I am a successful businessman, having been in business for more than 40 years.
I am an Air Force Veteran.
I own residential and commercial property in the city of Holly Hill. That means I pay taxes here and have a vested interest in the welfare of the city.
My Christian values are strong and provide a foundation for leadership.
Q. If you win, what's the first issue you will tackle?
A. I will continue to work to improve the economy and create jobs. We will achieve this by improving the quality of life and instilling a sense of city pride. We will continue to make our streets safer and crack down on drug-related crime as it has such a tremendous negative impact on our youth.
Q. If you lose, will you continue in politics?
A. I am not a career politician. I have been privileged to serve my city as mayor and will always contribute to this city with my time and talents, but not in the political arena.
