INDIAN RIVER COUTNY - The Indian River County recreation department is now taking registrations for the 2013 winter basketball season and spots are filling up fast. Only the first five requests per team will be honored.
This co-ed league is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, discipline and most importantly, fun.
Children ages 4-15 are encouraged to participate this season. Player fees are $35 and sponsor fees are $150. Birth certificates are required at time of registration. Registration will close on Nov. 21.
Teams will be separated by age divisions. Playing age is determined by age as of March 2, 2013.
Coaches, officials and sponsors are needed for all age groups.
Sign up at the county administration building or North County Aquatic Center between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
