Runners take off during the start of the 17th annual 5K Run for Runaways in front of the Ocean Deck restaurant in Daytona Beach, Saturday, Nov. 10. The run serves to promote awareness of the needs of youth in our community during National Runaway Prevention Month. Proceeds benefit the BEACH House Runaway Shelter. The center is operated by Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare, which serves Volusia, Flagler, Lake and Putnam Counties.
