TREASURE COAST -- The most recent graduates of Indian River State College's health information technology program earned a 100 percent pass rate on their credentialing exam from the Commission on Certification of Health Informatics and Information Management.
IRSC wishes to congratulate these students on their accomplishment.
The IRSC HIT graduates have now earned the title of registered health information technician.
Professionals holding the RHIT credential are certified to ensure the quality of medical records by verifying their completeness, accuracy and proper entry into computer systems; using computer applications to assemble and analyze patient data for improving patient care or controlling costs; specializing in coding diagnoses and procedures in patient records for reimbursement and research and/or compiling and maintaining data on cancer patients.
