TREASURE COAST --

Florida Atlantic University's Friends of Harbor Branch program will host a holiday open house for guests to visit the new Wells Fargo Aquaculture Pavilion on Dec. 8 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Ocean Discovery Center, 5600 U.S. 1 North, Fort Pierce.

The event will serve as an important educational opportunity for people of all ages, allowing guests to learn about aquaculture and the advances being made locally through the studies that Harbor Branch scientists are currently conducting.

Also on hand will be award-winning author and illustrator Janeen Mason. Ms. Mason will perform a theater reading of her acclaimed book, "Ocean Commotion: Caught in the Currents."

The event will also feature children's activities, holiday sweets and a silent auction.
