ROCKLEDGE -- A person of interest for a murder that occurred in Rockledge last month remains in the Brevard County Jail on an unrelated charge, Rockledge Police said.
Investigators have established a possible connection of this individual to the Nov. 16 murder of Antonio Knight, 23, of Rockledge.
On the morning of Nov. 16, Rockledge Police responded to a call of multiple gunshots in the area of 987 Pinson Blvd. at approximately 10 a.m.
After arriving on the scene, officers discovered Mr. Knight, 23, inside his car, dead from multiple gun wounds.
Authorities said they believe another person of interest in the case is currently in hiding.
Rockledge Police Department's Public Information Officer Michael Cadore said the department is currently investigating new leads and has interviewed multiple individuals since the shooting.
Officer Cadore said the three juveniles originally reported to be persons of interest in this case turned out to be unconnected.
This is the first murder for the City of Rockledge in 2012.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Investigator Bryce Phillips at the Rockledge Police Department at (321) 690-3213, Ext. 3149.
